Richard B. Harrison Library, part of the Wake Co. Public Library System, is getting geared up for your summer reading and fun! They're planning read alouds, book clubs, hands on activities, and guests like pot bellied pigs and a guy who can spin 11 basketballs! They're so close to Conn, you can almost walk. Don't miss the fun!
"Tumblebook-of-the-Day" - A brand new book will appear every day. You'll see books which correspond to seasons, holidays, and events. Access it through the Online Resources tab. It's like opening a new surprise everyday!
Thank you for sharing your students with me this year to read, sing, dance, research, draw, and explore learning. Check out the Student Work tab for a few of the things we've done through the year.
As the year winds down, it is time to begin returning library books. All books are due Friday, May 22. As part of our Race to the End, classes with all books returned will be visited by Wanda the Prize Fairy to thank them and deliver a wee treat. Please help your student's class earn Wanda's prize by returning books or paying for lost books. Payment must be in exact cash or a check payable to Conn ES. Thank you for helping your student demonstrate responsibility!
In addition to reading, I love to play competitive tennis; hike & camp in the mountains; garden and create outdoor art; walk Mocha, my chocolate lab; visit my son in NYC; and learn new things!
